Vice President of SDAUK passed away on 15th May 2019

Sindh Doctors Association UK deeply mourns on a very sad unexpected demise of our vice president, Dr Afsana Bhurgri. She was a multidimensional, committed and dedicated human being who lived her life for her fellow beings. She has been very active on various platforms not only in overseas but mostly in Sindh too. Dr Bhurgri expanded her activities and worked vigorously on different aspects of health issues in Sindh Pakistan specially women health and thalassemia awareness. Dr Bhurgri had a very deep insight in to day to day problems of underprivileged and downtrodden section of our society.
She dreamed to bring all women together and work for their emancipation. She established platform ‘Sindh Sartiyoon Group’ to build a network in order to achieve her moto. She conducted high quality live awareness programs whilst utilising wit and wisdom from every corner of the world. These session and other activities from this platform were well taken and highly admired by all and sundry. It is very encouraging to notice that this group has already nearly 7000 members and Dr Bhurgri wished for it to grow and reach to hundred thousand of women all over the world.
Let’s promise to ourselves that we will convert our loss and grief in to strength and courage and continue the legacy of Dr Bhurgri.
