Gynaecology camp Larkana Pakistan 1999

    Following are the details of surgical cases carried out in the camp:

    Following adequate publicity, a number of screening clinics took place in several districts of Sindh province. A total of seven hundred and fifty patients were seen, and ninety eight patients were selected for major surgery. Rest of the patients required non surgical care, which was given free. These camps were run and coordinated by local surgeons, Dr Rafia Baloch and Dr Noor ahmed Baloch.

    Vesico-Vaginal Fistulae                                                              25 Cases

    Uterine Prolapse, Fibroid, Overian Cysts                       74 Cases

    Altogether 5 different operating theatres were running simultaneously during the first four days of the camp. Mr John Kelly continued operating till 29th October 1999 to finish off his fistula surgery.
